This particular treatment has proven extremely popular so far with the main reason being it offers unbelievable results without having to opt for surgery.
What exactly is a Dermaroller Facial?
This is a micro needling treatment, designed to breathe vitality and life back into the skin. The anti-ageing properties are like that of no other without having to go under the knife. The notion behind the treatment is to encourage the release of collagen and epidermal growth factors and this happens via the application of very mild trauma to the skin.

From here we will discuss your chosen treatment in-depth so you are comfortable with the process whilst understanding before and after-care for your skin.
In essence, the dermaroller facial has been proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, scars and acne and sun damaged, ageing skin.
How do I prepare for the facial?
In order to gain the most from your facial it is advised to ensure your skin has no contact with any harsh chemicals at least 48 hours before your visit to the salon. This would include chlorine from the swimming baths, so try and rule this out. We recommend exfoliating 48 hours before your treatment. Other than that there is no real strict regime beforehand.
What will the treatment consist of?
We will undergo a full consultation when you arrive for your treatment. We like to know you are fully aware of the process and you need to feel comfortable too. From here we will clean your skin thoroughly using a mild cleanser. The application of anaesthetic cream is left for 20 minutes in order to numb the relevant area, maintaining client comfort. Upon removal of the cream the skin will be wiped with an alcohol based antiseptic. Using a needle dermaroller in varying directions across the face we will achieve maximum and even coverage. Pox marks and scars are targeted using a derma stamp. Upon completion of the treatment a serum will be applied to infuse the skin and this will be discussed during your session. From here, a cooling mask is applied whilst we offer a hand and arm or scalp massage. To finish off your treatment a recovery balm, hydrating serum and sunblock is applied.
How should I care for my skin after the treatment?
Upon completion you will notice a slight reddening of the skin. This will be no different than when you have got out of a hot bath or have caught the sun slightly. It’s recommended you don’t wear makeup for at least 12 hours after the treatment – longer if possible. Remember, you want to achieve maximum results and by following pre and aftercare routines this is more than possible. If we have recommended the use of serums, please apply these as advised. Again, this will help the healing and rejuvenation process. A seven day application of sunscreen is advised and we will talk you through this process. Using this every morning will ensure protection of your skin.
During the early post treatment days you will notice a certain fullness to the skin. It will begin to look radiant but please bear in mind it can take up to 40 days for skin to fully renew meaning you won’t necessarily see the full benefits of the treatment for up to six weeks later.
How many treatments should I have?
It is advisable to wait 4-6 weeks between treatments and the optimum number is 3. Again, this is something we will discuss in detail with you based on your needs and requirements.
